On Thursday, February 26, the Kansai Consular Corps Forum brought together representatives from over 30 organizations, including consulates across the region, in collaboration with the METI and the Osaka Liaison Office of the MOFA. A total of 19 countries from the Kansai Consular Corps were represented.

Now in its 18th edition, the forum focused on “Outcomes of Initiatives Leveraging Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and Their Future Utilization.” Participants shared insights and success stories on expanding international networks through the Expo, highlighting its role as a catalyst for global engagement.

Consuls General and participants emphasized the importance of building on this momentum to sustain international interest in Kansai beyond 2025, including through major events and enhanced multilingual outreach. The forum reaffirmed a shared commitment to strengthening international collaboration across the region.
